While awake...

Living in Hollywood has never made me giddy or dreamy. Three days after I arrived here I went to a movie premiere also attended by Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw (it was a movie she starred in.) Didn't make me go gaga. Through the years there have been many more such occasions, including a famous Sean Penn moment which some stupid nouveaus totally trashed by yelling out his name (where should I puke...) I have seen the immaculate facial skin of Joel Surnow and Helen Hunt and yeah, they totally have perfect skin! But why do I tell you these things? What does this lead up to if I don't get dreamy seeing famous people?

Not much. Really. I observe and attend the Hollywood life from the sidelines, and am happy to do so.
But, yesterday I ingested this book in less than two hours. Our bookshelf is lined with similar books and I know the gist of them all -- but this one was simple and catchy enough to tempt me.

You do know what they say about people having to do before they leave Hollywood?

Oh, and I do have one single giddy Hollywood moment that I will always and forever treasure.
And that was when David Duchovny, clad only in a pair of red shorts, stepped right on top of my yoga mat and crossed the room. Every time I did the down dog that class I could see him sweat away on his mat. Now tell me that is not a freaking moment! It's Mulder for Chrissake!
