I step on the bus that is pedaled by D. I sit shotgun and look around. I wonder how he can manage such a heavy load by pedaling. The bus is filled with friends and people from my village. I see AMG and talk to her. I also ask D. what he is doing this summer. He says he is cooking good food and lists several other activities that require little or no energy, but are instead purely meant as pleasure. Now the bus passes the road to our house and I realize he is going to take a longer route, going to some houses that are in completely different part of the village.
Now we arrive at his house and he runs off and into the house. Thick grey smoke is billowing out through the frontdoor as he opens it and I can see people in there. They look worried, as if they do not want me or any other of the passengers to see what is happening. I ask what is happening but the faces quickly dissappear back into the smoke. D. comes back outside and tries to enter the house a different way, even if he just entered it through the main entrance. He does not answer any questions. It is twilight and no questions were answered.
